Mixta Africa is proud to sponsor Nigeria’s first Musical to London “Wakaa The Musical” at The Shaw Theatre 100-110 Euston Road London’s West End. The shows will take place from 21st to the 25th of July 2016.
Wakaa The Musical is a play about the trials, successes and experiences of graduates with varied backgrounds. A wager between them after graduation has a twist when the realities of life and the folly of their choices hit them. Eventually they reunite, coming full circle.
The story reveals the struggles and challenges young people face in present day Africa and abroad. Wakaa The Musical takes you on an emotional roller coaster and is a strong satire of Nigeria’s politics as it explores the scheming, intrigues, betrayals and games people play in life.
Producer Bolanle Austen-Peters is hoping that after a popular opening stint in Lagos, English audience will welcome the production with open arms.
Mixta Africa will also host a cocktail reception for the UK diplomatic community, business leaders and top UK government officials. This will be held at the Pullman Hotel by 6pm before the show on the 22nd of July.
